Participation acknowledgment

When participating in the primary Zoom webinar on camera as a panelist with @2:50, you acknowledge that your name, voice, and likeness may appear live to other panelists and webinar viewers on Zoom. Webinar viewers, not joined by a camera are identified by display name only. Webinar viewers may be verbally thanked for their participation by their first name or display name. Any panelist or viewer in the Zoom webinar is encouraged to adjust your display name and camera preferences according to your own privacy requirements.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We do not collect personal data on this website. If you fill in the google form embedded on this site, we collect your first name and email only. We use this information to add you as a panelist to the daily webinar or to email you about upcoming changes to the event. If you are logged in to your Zoom account while joining MIT@2:50 your display name and email are recorded in the host Zoom reports. To prevent any personal data from reaching MIT@2:50 as a webinar guest (and not a panelist) simply log out of Zoom before joining the webinar.

Who we share your data with

We do not share data with anyone.

How long we retain your data

For participants that fill in the google form on the website, we store your personal information securely in a dual authenticated document for as long as you wish to remain a participant in order to invite you to future MIT@2:50 meetings. For those people who have shared their contact information in the past and have not chosen to participate, your data will be deleted after one year. For webinar participants not on the panel and who are logged in at the time of the webinar, Zoom reports your display name and email within meeting reports. We delete these meeting reports every 30 days.

What rights you have over your data

If you have filled in the participation form, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. Generally, this would only include your name and email address as entered on the panelist form. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you.
